An approach for Argentina international Garnacho has been mooted, with United reportedly looking to free up funds from sales that will allow them to dip back into the transfer market and reinforce Ruben Amorim’s squad – will also complying with Profit & Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Amorim said when asked if a Europa League outing against Rangers will be Garnacho’s last for the Red Devils: “No, I'm focused on the games and he's here, he's a player for Manchester United. He was really important for us today and let's see in the next days.”

Maresca has sent a similar message when quizzed on the Garnacho rumours, telling reporters: “I'm happy with what we have at this moment. I said many times, on the right side it's Pedro [Neto] and Noni [Madueke], left side Jadon [Sancho] and Misha [Mudryk] was with us, now he's not with us. Tyrique [George] is the profile that can help us. In this moment we are okay.”
