Real Madrid legend Luka Modric has been urged to rejoin one of his former clubs to finish off his career in fairytale style.

Modric is now 39 but he has a contract that expires at the end of the season, and Dinamo Zagreb head coach Nenad Bjelica has talked up the prospect of bringing their legendary former midfielder back to Croatia. The 2018 Ballon d'Or winner began his career with Zagreb before moving to Spurs in 2008, and then on to Real in 2012, where he has further burgeoned his legend.

Modric has a simply ridiculous trophy cabinet, including six Champions League titles and four La Liga championships. During his time with Zagreb, he won the Croatian league three times, and there is hope that he will choose to bring down the curtain on his career in his homeland.

Bjelica said in an interview with Radio MARCA: “Luka Modric back to Dinamo? Who wouldn’t like to have Modric in their team? I hope he will finish his career at Dinamo Zagreb.”
