Whenever something is not quite going to plan at a football club, part of the anger tends to be directed at the hierarchy.
Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis has suffered his fair share of abuse from supporters over the last few years.
Most of the vitriol came from the fans’ frustrations that Arsene Wenger was still manager following countless failings in the Premier League title race.
The Frenchman eventually called time on his 22-year tenure and walked away from the role at the end of the season.

Attention swiftly turned to who would replace the experienced coach, which meant that Gazidis was once again under pressure.
A handful of names were linked to the position, but interestingly the man who was chosen was not among them.
In the end, former Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery was hired, not long after he was sacked by the French outfit following a two-year spell.
The Spaniard won five trophies with PSG, including the Ligue 1 title, but the club’s recently disappointing Champions League campaign led to his downfall.
Arsenal fans are on cloud 9 at the moment, and it seems that many have dramatically changed their opinion of Gazidis.
