The Brazilian was investigated by the FA over alleged betting breaches during his time with West Ham last October. Paqueta was accused of deliberately getting booked in four Premier League games against Leicester City, Aston Villa, Leeds United and Bournemouth during the 2022/23 season. He was then charged with misconduct in May.

Now, The Sun reports that the 27-year-old's hearing could begin in March 2025 and he may face a lifetime ban if found guilty. He is also charged with two counts of failing to comply with the ongoing investigation into the matter.
