Leeds United recorded their third consecutive 1-0 win to overcome Middlesbrough, keeping them within four points of table-toppers West Bromwich Albion.
Considering the result, it is pretty understandable that Luke Ayling had an “enjoyable night”, as he posted about on Instagram following the game’s culmination.
The 28-year-old can be pretty satisfied with his own involvement in the game’s only goal. After an attempted Middlesbrough clearance had been smashed up into the air, Ayling got underneath the ball and cushioned it perfectly to Mateusz Klich.
This allowed the Poland international to play a one-two with Pablo Hernandez before firing his effort in off the post.

His contribution may not seem the biggest, but it has been picked up on by Eddie Nketiah and Kalvin Phillips, who both commented about it on the defender’s post, while Klich and Leif Davis chipped in with some more generalised replies.
